This just may be Colorado's most iconic landscape. Do you recognize it? Funny thing - I've lived here my whole life and this is only the second time I've ever visited the Flat Irons in Boulder. Go figure. Thanksgiving morning I wanted to go shoot sunrise at a place that was relatively easy to get to and a place I hadn't yet photographed. That made Chautauqua Park an easy choice. I've read that park is insanely crowded all the time, so I went expecting to have plenty of company. I got there about an hour before sunrise and had the whole place to myself. I spent the next 30 minutes hunting around in the dark for a composition that I felt was relatively unique. I found a nice little spot under a big pine tree with a clear line of site up to the monoliths. I got a couple visits by the local deer while there as well. Guess I stood still enough that they didn't see me first. And then it happened - the light came exploding over the horizon turning everything wonderful hues of pink, red, and orange. And with the light came the crowds. Have you ever seen spiders hatch from their egg sack? It was like that. Curiously enough, every single person that appeared had a camera. It was a big photographer hatch that was prompted by the rising sun. I couldn't help but laugh, since I was part of that horde. Even though I rarely visit the Boulder area, there's no questioning it's beauty. And there's no doubt about why it's such a popular place for photographers. Homes are popular on Instagram, too.

Popular places get a lot of love on Instagram, but so do pictures of homes. The right photo can grab your attention (like the ones above). Quality images are equally as important in real estate. According to the Center for REALTOR® Development (CRD), homes with high-quality photography sell 32% faster and for more money. That's why every home we list receives both professional photography and marketing on Instagram.
